Tänään syntyi kevät.

Meri suuteli rantansa jäättömiksi.
Lokit ovat siipensä pesseet
kaukaisten karien keskellä.
Taivaan telttakatto oli vielä eilen harmaa.
Joku on vetäissyt sinistä verkaa sijaan.
Lounatuuli on oppinut puhumaan
ja tuo viestejä ihmiselle.

Repäise auki mielesi akkunat,
joihin pahantuulen hämähäkki
talvisaikaan kutoi verkkojaan.
Päästä kaipauksen häkkilintu valloilleen
ja anna sen kisailla kaukaisten karien keskellä
lokkiparven parissa.

Anna sen lentää levottomin siivin,
kurkien keralla kauas kattojen yli
jonnekin, toiseen maailmaan,
vainioille, jotka odottavat,
korpeen, jossa elämä herää.
Lähetä tunteesi kultakiharaiset lapset
tervehtimään kevättä,
joka tänään syntyi
luonnon sydämessä,
auringon säteissä
ja ihmisessä.
