Bessie

Bessie Smith (15.4. 1894 – 26.10. 1937), monen blueslaulajan esikuva, tulkitsee tässä Fletcher Hendersonin bändin poikien kanssa Theodore Metzin vuonna 1886 säveltämää kappaletta. Hitti siitä tuli kaksitoista vuotta myöhemmin Meksikon sodan aikoina. Bessie levytti sen vuonna 1927. Muistaakseni vikkelämpää versiota soitettiin jonkin Speden ohjelman yhteydessä.

Muutamia Vanhan Kunnon Kaupungin naispuolisia henkilöitä esitellään oikein nimien kanssa.
